HOW TO WEAR PINK AND RED!

Happy Monday Beautiful People! Don’t adjust your screen, yes you are seeing PINK & RED together! I love color blocking and pink & red are two of my fave color combinations! You know when I was growing up, these two color combos were a no-no! Which just goes to show you that you should really do your thing when it comes to your style…if you love it and you know what looks good on you….go for it! Now, let’s talk about this pink & red…….

Let me start off by saying that I’m wearing Flat Out Fabulous lipstick from MAC….Flat Out Fabulous and Ruby Woo are my signature lip colors from MAC….both shades are a matte lipstick and I’m definitely a matte girl! The Ultra Red Suit is from Banana Republic and the Pink Draped Top is from the Gabrielle Union collection from New York & Co. Oh, my gosh y’all, the top was the perfect shade of pink for the red suit and it was truly a bonus that the top and my lipstick were the perfect pairing.

Let me start off by saying that the Red & Pink color combo is not just for Valentine’s Day…although, this was the look I wore for my Valentine segment of Virginia This Morning last week, I encourage you to wear pink & red together anytime and any day….it’s not just for Valentine’s Day!

Red is such a strong and vibrant color and it translate the message of power and sensuality….and pink comes in so many different shades from soft to vibrant…..the shades of pinks translates the message of warmth and trustworthy and the brighter vibrant pinks translates the message of strength and fun loving.

For this look, I wanted to be bold with the red and vibrant with the pink. So, I think what really works for the pink & red combo is to either stay vibrant with the combination or stay soft with both colors. To finish off the look, wear either a pink or red lipstick and I wore gold hoop earrings.
