BEING HUMBLE!

Happy Monday Beautiful People! I hope you all had a wonderful Easter weekend….mine was lovely and the church service was truly beautiful and Rev’s sermon is always so on point…always just what I need to hear!

Today I want to chat about “Being Humble”. So, I googled the definition of humble and it states, “having or showing a modest or low estimate of one's own importance”. I don’t know about y’all, but I always pray for God to keep me humble. As my mom used to say, “Don’t get too big for your britches”! Of course at the time she would say this to us, I had to clue what she was talking about, but as I got older and life started happening, I quickly found out what it meant. Life will change on you with a quickness. I truly believe that God will put us in certain situations to humble us.

I believe that God will not only put us in certain situations to humble us, but to let this reminder to be a constant humbling for us. To let us know not to judge others because bottom line, we aren’t in any position to judge anyone. We all have our faults and short comings, granted mine maybe different from yours, but there’s no “rating system” to this. Hurt is hurt, pain is pain, right is right and wrong is wrong!

I also believe that God humbles us to prepare us for the blessings that he’s about to bestow upon us…preparing us to be grateful so we won’t forget what we went through to get to the other side of the storm that we are going through so that we will remember it was God that brought us through and for us to be most appreciative of what we have. My prayer is for me and you to always remain humble and to be thankful and to be grateful!
